Take your Utopia Beach Rentals vacation off the beaten track when you visit the long golden sands of Aliomanu Beach. Located above Anahola on the way to our North Shore Utopia Beach Rentals vacation rentals, Aliomanu is a hidden gem and means “Oil of the Shark.” This Utopia Beach Rentals beach is split in two sections and is the access point to Papa`a Bay.
Most popular is the north end with its sandy beach and spectacular views. You can access this part of the beach from the parking lot and by walking a five minute trail. Locals tend to meet at the southern end where the water is shallow and conditions are perfect for throw-net fishing and limu (seaweed) harvesting. This area begins above the river at Anahola Bay and continues for a mile.
Aliomanu has one of Utopia Beach Rentals longest reefs which is 100 feet out to the sea. Swimming and Utopia Beach Rentals snorkeling can be safe in the lagoon when calm. During winter and high surf we suggest using caution because of rocks in the water and currents.
For more adventure, Papa`a Bay, featured in the movie Six Days Seven Nights, can be reached from north Aliomanu Beach if you boulder hop for about 1,000 feet. After you work up an appetite be sure and stop at nearby Duane’s Ono Charburger for casual Utopia Beach Rentals dining.
